About Lee Meat
Farming is in our blood. Koos and Elna Lee ran a dairy business for 27 years on the farm Fouriesdrift in the Northern Free State. In 1997 they decided to use their extensive experience in farming to open the Fouriesdrift Abattoir. Five years later in October 2004, their son-in-law and daughter, Gerrit and Mart Mari du Plooy, joined the team. Through years of supplying retailers and butchers we have become known for our honesty, quality and good service. To this day, this family business is run with the same attention to detail, passion and trustworthiness it was established with all those years ago.
Our Free State lamb is reared on maize and supplement feed to keep them in the best condition they can possibly be. The warm summers, cold winters and plentiful rain guarantees that there is ample natural pasture to graze on. We merely supplement where we see the need to reach optimal production. That means we can supply you with the most suitable quality meat for your needs. Be it an A2 lamb with minimal fat, or an A4 lamb that has a bit more fat for those rich winter stews you might be planning.
